Sunday, Strep and Scooting!

Vinny finally made some headway toward becoming mobile. Again like his sisters before him, he made his first real movements to obtain the almighty remote control :)) He'll be crawling any day now.

Emma came home from school on Friday complaining of a sore throat and woke up Saturday with a fever. Luckily our awesome pediatrician is open on Saturday mornings for sick visits. The rapid strep test was positive :( Emma was bummed out to stay in all weekend. It didn't matter that she was sick, though, because it rained most of Saturday with a whole lot of thunder and even a little hail. WOOHOO!

Getting a little stir crazy and under each other's skin, we declared Sunday a no TV day. Everybody took a nice nap. Emma and I took advantage of Ava and Vinny's simultaneous nap to do an art project. She got started on this jewelry box from Auntie Sara and Uncle Dave.

Ava woke before we were finished and insisted on doing her own jewly box :)
Vinny got into the baby swing for the first time. He LOVED it!!

Emma is feeling much better and will return to school tomorrow. She was excited to learn that she made the Jr Choir at school and will start rehearsing this week. Her spring softball season also starts this week. And away we go....

Weekend Happenings

I started out on Friday as THE WORST MOM EVER. I'M SOOOOOOOOOOO MEAN!!!! My sole purpose was, apparently, to make Emma look LIKE THE BIGGEST NERD EVER by forcing her to wear these Kenneth Cole maryjanes. I know. I suck :(

Friday was not a complete loss, however. This was the scene at our house at 9 pm Friday. I had only made it half way through my first glass of (very deserved) wine. The next two glasses paired nicely with the silence. AAAHHHHH :)
As a reward for treating me so nicely about the UGLIEST SHOES EVER, I took Emma to get her hair cut. I think we'll go even shorter in a few weeks :)
Vinny got worn out at the salon with all of the ladies oooing and aahhing over him. His life is rough.

Daddy gave him a baby biter cookie today without a bib while I took my nap. That worked out well :)

Back to the grind...
