Happy New Year!

I can't believe that it has been a year since I started this blog. I am so proud that I have kept it up to date. I posted 63 times in 2008! So, that was the only resolution I was successful with in 2008. The rest are still works in progress. I might as well go ahead an make a list since writing them down and announcing them publicly will make me feel more accountable :)

In 2009:
1) I am bringing sexy back. I'll turn 35 this year and I don't want to do it in the size I am currently wearing. I've spent 6.5 of the last 9 years either pregnant or breastfeeding. But now that I have closed that chapter of my life, it is time to reclaim my body. I'm doing it the old-fashioned way: diet and exercise. I'll keep you up to date with my progress.
2) I am going to work harder to be a roll model for my children more through my actions than through my words. I will attempt to demonstrate the importance of respect, tolerance, patience, appreciation, truth and justice.
3) (You should probably sit down for this one) We are going to try out attending church. Now, before you fall out of your chair, let me explain...Emma has been more curious about religion and feels left out that some of her closest friends attend church every Sunday. So, after much thought, Beto and I agreed to try the Unitarian Universalist Church. That way he can still be a Catholic, I can still be an Atheist and our kids can get some open-minded religious education from several schools of thought. I'll report back after we go to our first service in a couple of weeks.
4) To get more organized, I will reorganize one small space per day and try to get one major project done per month.

I think that is plenty :) I wish all of you a happy and healthy new year!

Oh Danielle, you crack me up! I am very proud of you! Good for you for finding a church where you can be a heathen and Emma can figure out where her little head will take her. Great update to the blog, you rock!
